Scouting

Send scouts out and discover players before they hit the transfer market.

Overview

Scouting lets you search for new players in a specific country. You’ll receive regular reports — and if you act fast, you can sign talents before they appear on the transfer market.

Important: scouting takes time. Finding players is never guaranteed — that’s part of the challenge.

What scouting means in football terms

Think of scouting as sending your scouts out to watch players and come back with recommendations.

You decide where to look (country) and how much effort to invest (number of scouts and mission duration).

What you need

You can start scouting right away. A scouting center improves your options step by step.

You also need budget: when you sign a player from scouting, you pay their market value from your club balance.

Scouting center (levels & options)

The stronger your scouting center, the more scouts you can use at the same time and the larger your scouting area becomes.

At higher levels, you can also narrow down your search (for example by position group or age range).

Budget & signing price

When you sign a player directly from scouting, you pay exactly their market value.

If your budget is too low, you can’t sign them — even if they already showed up in your report.

How to start a scouting mission

A mission is an assignment for your scouts. You choose the country, effort, and duration — then you wait for the next report.

1) Choose region (continent & country)

First you pick a continent, then a country. Your mission will search for players in that country.

Depending on your scouting center level, your options may be limited early on (often only your home country), and expand later to your continent or the whole world.

2) Set scouts & duration

More scouts mean more effort — and those scouts are busy for the entire mission duration.

You set the duration in weeks (up to 4). After each report, the mission gets one week shorter until it ends.

How many scouts are available?

You have a limited number of scouts in total, based on your scouting center.

If all scouts are already on missions, you can’t start a new one until scouts become available again.

How long does a mission last?

A mission lasts 1 to 4 weeks. Each week you receive a new report.

Tip: if you need quick results, start shorter missions — you can always launch another one afterwards.

3) Optional: narrow down the search

At higher levels, you can specialize your search — for example by position group (defense, midfield, attack) or by age range.

This helps you find players that match your needs, but it also means you’re searching in a smaller pool.

Position focus

Focusing on a position can lead to more suitable hits because your scouts look more specifically.

But: you’ll only find players that fit that position. For a broad talent search, no focus is often better.

Age range

With an age range, you can target young talents or short-term reinforcements.

If you don’t set an age range, players of all fitting ages can be considered.

Reports & understanding results

Scouting gives you reports at regular intervals. In those reports you see which players were found and how your scouts rate them.

When do reports arrive?

Reports arrive weekly. The weekday depends on the day you started the mission.

On the day you start, you usually won’t receive a report yet — the first report comes on the next matching weekday.

Found players

In the mission view, you’ll see a list of reported players including talent, age, position, and market value.

You can sort the list to quickly spot the most interesting profiles.

Strength estimate (range)

Your scouts provide a range for how strong a player might be. It’s an estimate, not an exact number.

With each new report, that estimate usually becomes more accurate.

Competition: other clubs can find the same player

A player isn’t automatically “yours”. Other clubs can discover the same player through scouting.

If someone else signs them first, they’re gone — you’ll need the next find.

Sign players or ignore them

If you like a player, you can sign them directly as long as they’re still available and you have the budget.

If a player doesn’t fit, you can ignore them to keep your list tidy.

Sign a player

Using “Buy” signs the player directly from scouting.

The price is their market value, and they join your squad immediately.

Ignore a player

Using “Ignore” marks the player as not interesting for you.

This helps you focus on top targets without distractions.

When a player ends up on the transfer market

Some players appear on the transfer market automatically after a while. Then you can’t buy them directly from scouting anymore.

In that case, you’ll need to use the transfer market — and there may be competition (availability and timing).

Tips & FAQ

Scouting is a long-term tool. With a bit of routine, you’ll quickly learn what missions fit your squad and your budget.

Tips for planning missions

Match missions to your needs: for quick help, use shorter missions; for long-term talents, invest multiple weeks.

Look at the country’s scouting pool: if there are many players, it’s more likely to be worth it.

Use specialization only when you have a clear gap you want to fill.

Why don’t I see results (yet)?

That can be normal: reports arrive weekly, and not every week has to bring a hit.

Also make sure the mission is still running (weeks left) and remember you usually don’t get a report on the start day.

Why can’t I buy a player?

Most common reasons: your budget is too low, another club already signed the player, or the player has moved to the transfer market.

If you ignored a player before, you also can’t sign them directly via scouting anymore.
